Max Lucado writes in The Inspirational Study Bible, "A misconception people have in dealing with lifes troubles is that its wrong to ask whythat a Christian simply accepted and never questions. Abraham, Moses, and David all interceded and struggled to understand God. But the lives of these men model for us a total reliance on God, even in the midst of questioning," In every disappointment and surprising circumstance, you can bring your honest and sincere questions to God knowing He will hear you with compassion and caring. You may never fully receive understanding about unwanted outcomes, but you can trust that God is behind every disappointment you experience and working for your good. It is the will of God that each of His children become Christ-like and in that molding process we will experience what Christ faced in His life. Jesus faced rejection, ridicule, bullying, isolation, dislike, relationship conflicts, hurt, betrayal, and disappointment. Keep your eyes on Christ, not on the disappointment or your hurt, and trust God that He knows what Hes doing even when you dont!
