THE WAY
Some people really think that disease or misfortune only occurs to those who
don't pray enough, don't have enough faith, or don't do enough for God. I say
enough of that nonsense! God doesn't chastise His people. Jesus bore our chastisement on the cross. The struggles, heartaches, and diseases we face are never forms of punishment from God, they are forms of a fallen world. Jesus told us to expect trials and tribulations in this world not because He planned to die for a chosen few and the rest of us would be punished in life with hardships. No, hardships befall us because Adam and Eve fell from the perfect life into an imperfect world and took us with them! All who believe in Jesus Christ are spared from punishment, forever. Today, remind yourself that you are loved and saved by a kind and caring Lord, not a punishing ogre. –Dr. Sandy
